The Opportunity Engine is the idea at the centre of FreightIntel: put the public evidence a haulier would otherwise chase across a dozen sites into one place, and score it in a way you can read and argue with.
Live today
- HGV and transport manager jobs. Signed-in users can search driver and transport manager vacancies by category, with optional keywords. Listings come from an upstream jobs service, are shown as plain text, and carry no availability guarantee. If the upstream service is down you see an error, never an empty list that looks like “no jobs”.
- Roadworks and closures from Street Manager and Traffic Wales, so you can see what is on your corridor before you commit to the work. See Traffic & Roads.
- Port activity from DfT port statistics and live ship positions. See Port Intelligence.
- Fuel station register and prices from the government Fuel Finder service, so you can see what a forecourt reports charging.
- HGV parking sites near a point you choose.
Scores you can inspect
Opportunities in the engine are stored with an explainable score and a pointer to the evidence behind it. Each one carries an evidence type. An opportunity marked “inferred” is a demand signal, not a job someone is offering. It is never labelled as bookable unless a licensed source has verified a booking state. Opportunity scoring is still being tuned and is not yet a consumer feature in the app.
What it is not
- It is not a load board and not a broker. FreightIntel does not sell your data or take a cut of a job.
- It does not tell you a load is available. It tells you where evidence points and leaves the decision with you.
- It does not predict ship arrivals or promise a paying return leg.
Data honesty
Every figure comes from a named public source and carries its own freshness. Where a source has not delivered yet, the field stays empty rather than being filled with a plausible number. See Data sources and attributions.
